MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSIONS

We are always pleased to receive book proposals from authors. If you would like to submit your manuscript to us, please follow the simple guidelines below:

• A representative sample of your manuscript printed on A4 paper in 11 point Times New Roman font
• A summary or synopsis of your book, including details of the total word length, number of chapters
• Details of any other books, articles or short stories you have had published
• Your brief CV, resume or profile

What will happen to your book proposal/manuscript?

Initially your book proposal/manuscript will be assessed in-house.

Although we may not be able to read your manuscript in its entirety, we will endeavour to provide you with feedback within six weeks of receiving a copy. Our feedback will explain our opinion of its fit with the titles published by Longueville Books and its suitability for publishing. We may provide you with suggestions for revision or enlargement.

If we think that your manuscript is possibly publishable but feel that we need a second opinion then we will engage one or more industry experts to review your manuscript. This stage may take up to 3 months.

If we think that your manuscript is unsuitable for publication we will retain the copy and destroy it after one month, unless you have provided us with a self-addressed envelope, complete with correct postage, in which case we will return it.

We prefer not to receive manuscripts that have been sent to other publishers simultaneously. Please advise us if you have submitted your manuscript to another publisher.
